A double feature at Theatre Woodstock features a musical comedy Junie B Jones The Musical Jr. by Barbra Park and The Super Non-Heroes by Taryn Temple.
WOODSTOCK - STAGES in Woodstock is presenting a Double Feature production.
The productions include Junie B Jones The Musical Jr. based on the books by Barbara Park, which follows Junie B. on her first day of first grade, and The Super Non-Heroes by Taryn Temple, which takes place in a school full of superheroes with the main character Charlie having no abilities.
Junie B. Jones is a musical comedy and you will be laughing yourself silly with the Junior adaptation of Barbara Park's beloved series. The story follows Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store: Junie's best friend Lucille has found new best friends and Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school.
The Super Non Heroes follows Powerless Charlie who sticks out like a sore thumb in a school full of superheroes. Smellinator can't control her powers and forgot to do her Villain 101 homework. Golden Boy won't follow protocol. And Toxic Sludge is, well, toxic sludge. When a super villain attacks the school Charlie must dig deep within herself. She may not be a superhero but she discovers her unique talents to save the day.
The kids in the production have all worked very hard on these shows since September to share with the community.
You can get your tickets on their website for $15 Adult and $12 for 16 and under, as well as find out more about the shows. You can also call the box office at 519-537-2582 or purchase your tickets outside the box office before the play starts.
