The Norwich Fire Service received 156 combination alarms which will be distributed out into the community.
NORWICH - The Norwich Fire Service has teamed up with Enbridge Gas once again for Safe Community Project Zero.
The public education campaign shines a light on the importance of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms alarms to hopefully bring the number of fire and carbon monoxide related deaths to zero.
The Norwich Fire Service received 156 combination alarms from the campaign yesterday and Fire Chief Derek Van Pagee says they will be distributed to members of the community.
"Working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms save lives. The Project Zero initiative for the township will be put to good use in door-to-door campaigns, during emergency response, and through public education events."
Enbridge Gas invested $450,000 into the public education campaign this year so it can distribute over 14,200 to residents in 75 communities across Ontario.
