Four roads in Oxford County have had their seasonal load restrictions removed. The move comes after the County did some repairs on the roads.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County council has approved a by-law to remove seasonal road restrictions on four major roads in the County.
Warden Larry Martin says the County has done work on these roads to make this possible.
"The County has done some work on those roads and have lifted those restrictions, so that you can have a full load on those roads in the Spring, during the break up."
The seasonal road restrictions have been removed from parts of Oxford Roads, 17, 28, 36 and 37. Martin says the move is good news for the County and good news for local industry.
"I think it is good that we are trying to move industry and development through and if they can draw full loads, it is going to help them reduce their cost as well."
Seasonal road restrictions are in place between March 1st to April 30th each year.
