KidsDu will return to Southside Park on Sunday June 9th.
WOODSTOCK - A popular kids' event is coming back to Woodstock.
KidsDu is hosted by the Woodstock Triathlon Club and it is going into its third year. It is an annual event that is hosted on the Sunday before Father's Day at Southside Park. Club Member, Terri Jenkins explains what the event is about.
"KidsDu is a run-bike-run for kids aged 3 to 13. It is non-competitive, so we don't give out medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd."
The distances for the 3 to 5-year-olds will be up to 100 metres for the first run, 500 metres for the bike, and then back to 100 metres for the second run. Each age group will have the distances increase. Jenkins says there is a slight cost.
"There is an entry fee. For the 3 to 5-year-olds, it is $22, and for the 6 to 13 it's $32, and we haven't changed our prices since we started."
Registration will be accepted until June 5th and for all the information you can visit the Woodstock Triathlon Club's website.
