Residents in Tavistock are being advised to boil their water by Southwestern Public Health.
TAVISTOCK - A boil water advisory has been issued in Tavistock.
Southwestern Public Health has issued the advisory for residents connected to the municipal water supply on William Street south of Wettlaufer Street. Until further notice, residents are being asked to bring their water to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before using it for drinking, making infant formula or juice, brushing their teeth, washing raw foods, or making ice.
This is a precautionary measure in case of potential contamination following a water main break/pressure loss. Residents will be notified as to when they will be able to return to normal water use.
If you would like more information regarding the current advisory, you can visit the Southwestern Public Health website. Also, if you want to be notified electronically for water boil advisories, you can click here.
