"It is comforting to know that at the end of the day, my family knows that I'm in a safe environment."
WOODSTOCK - Residents at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock are responding to some of the negative news that has shocked the community recently.
Resident Council President Judy Crane reached out to Heart FM and wanted to let everyone know they recieve excellent care at the long term care homes in Woodstock, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg.
Crane tells Heart FM they have some amazing people who love their job and truly care about the residents.
"We get excellent care, the staff are very caring, we form bonds with them, every one of us is very different, so one resident has needs that are different from the next one."
Crane says it is comforting to know that at the end of the day, my family knows that I'm in a safe environment. Here is the full statement Crane initially sent to the Heart FM newsroom.
"I would like to respond to statements regarding Long Term Care Homes in Oxford County and the recent tragedies in the news lately.
I am one of the residents at Woodingford Lodge - Woodstock, and can verify that each of the residents who reside at Woodingford Lodge Woodstock, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg receive excellent care. We have formed bonds with each of the staff members who look after us. It is comforting to know that at the end of the day, my family knows that I'm in a safe environment."
