An investigation into stolen vehicles has led to the recovery of an estimated $550,000 worth of goods.
WOODSTOCK/CAMBRIDGE - The Woodstock Police Service Street Crime Unit have recovered multiple stolen vehicles.
It started on May 17th with a semi-truck and a flatbed trailer carrying ATVs that were stolen from the area of Bysham Park Road. Then, on May 19th, the Street Crime Unit recovered the stolen semi-truck in Cambridge and continued with the investigation. A search warrant was executed on May 28th at a commercial property in Cambridge, which resulted in the flatbed being found, and it was carrying ATVs and motorcycles.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the trailer and vehicles were stolen from London. In total, the police recovered 1 trailer, 10 three-wheeled motorcycles, and 8 ATVs, which have an estimated value of $550,000.
The Woodstock Police Service has made a dedicated Auto Theft Investigator position. The creation of this specialized role enhances the Service's ability to identify, investigate, and disrupt auto theft and vehicle fraud-related offences.
