There will be a little something for everyone at this year's Big Night Out Charity Masquerade Ball.
WOODSTOCK - The Big Night Out Charity Ball Masquerade will be raising money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock and District.
The night includes dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. Case Worker and Fundraising and Marketing Assistan Shaylyn (Shea-Lynn) Jackson tells Heart FM they are hoping to match last years fundraising totals.
"Last year we raised $100,000 from this event, it was so fantastic, we were able to extend our hours to offer drop in hours for the children and youth in the agency, so we have later hours on Wednesday nights now because of that. We were also able to implement a new teen program for the teens that our enrolled in our agency because of the funds raised from last years event. This year we are hoping we can even surpass last years record breaking $100,000 and see what we can do to pass that."
This year they are going with a masquerade theme. Jackson says you can purchase your tickets online or at their office on Dundas Street.
"We even have a debit/credit machine available and we also masks for purchase here at the office, so if people are looking for a place to buy masks for the event, here in town, we can help you out."
The Big Night Out is on October 21st and you can find out how to get tickets online here.
