Sandra Talbot looks to return to her seat for next term.
WOODSTOCK - A long-time city councillor is looking to return to her seat.
Talbot was first elected in 1988 as a city councillor. It was in 1991 when she was elected as city-county councillor.
She was unsuccessful in her bid for mayor in 2003, but was re-elected a year and half later in a bi-election and has since maintained her council seat.
Sandra Talbot says that the last four years serving have been positive but she feels her work isn't done yet.
"I think my proven track record, it speaks for itself. People have seen how I support the community and how I service."
She says it is important to remember the work needed to be done for the County, not just those that affect you directly.
"A lot of times you just pick out the areas that just concern you, that affect you directly. But if you look at the overall scope the county is very large and we're very diversified, we have the rural and we have the urban. For each one, there's lots going on. We're growing."
