The United Way Oxford is hoping to build on some early momentum during this year's campaign.
Things are looking good for this year's United Way Oxford campaign.
So far there has been a tremendous amount of community support according to Resource Development and Communications Manager Shelley Lachapelle.
"Right now we are on track to actually reach goal. We've been very fortunate to have a lot of partners come on board to support our efforts and all of these little things that are going on truly do make a difference when you combine those."
Some of those community partners include Canada Stampings, Woodstock Hospital, and some local schools.
Although it is still early in the campaign, Lachapelle says they want to build on this early momentum. Last year the campaign fell short of their goal, but this year they focused less on the projected dollar amount, and more on what change that money could bring about.
Many events are planned leading up to the end of the year including today's Student Stair Climb where local high schools will be trying to dethrone IDCI all while raising money for the cause.
Local businesses are also encouraged to take part in workplace fundraising to help the United Way. Check out the United Way's newly revamped website to find out more.
